Nellie's Suite

Nellie's Suite features a luxurious King Size Bed, a Private Sitting Room (which could serve as an extra bedroom)  and a Private Bathroom. Wonderful tree-top views of the garden can be seen from the leaf-green sitting room. Spanning the entire top floor of the Inn, the Suite offers the highest level of privacy and intimacy. The mulberry and rose colored bedroom against the leaf walls of the sitting room gives Nellie's Suite a comfortable feel. Just like the rest of the house, the Suite is adorned with family heirlooms and antiques including plaster pictures from Victorian times. Nellie's Suite also has a TV, DVD, CD player, dial up service, use of the Hot Tub, microwave oven, mini-refrigerator, iron with ironing board, A/C, and a selection of herbal teas, coffee, hot cocoa and movies for your enjoyment. Issac's Suite and Lucretia's Room

Lucretia's Room is shaded in a lovely country cork with exquisite hardwood floors. The queen size bed, decorated in plum and moss linens, gives a very inviting atmosphere. The Issac's Suite boosts a queen pediment bed in this soothing green setting accented with original wide-pine floors. Both the sitting room and bedroom are adorned with period Victorian furnishings from our family. They feature a Private Bathroom with a deep insulated tub and selection of bubble bath, aromatherapy and bath salts. The bathroom, located just outside the room, also has a separate shower stall. Each have a fireplace in winter, walk-in closet, A/C, iron with ironing board, hairdryer, games, access to the Hot Tub, as well as assorted herbal teas, hot cocoa and coffee for your pleasure. To help accommodate our guests traveling in groups, we have prices listed on our online system packaging adjacent rooms together. You are free to inquire about bath and bed situation as we have a few difference arrangements that are possible between the two Inns. • You could be at Inn Bliss or Architect's Inn. Please print directions to both Inns just in case.

• There are no refunds or exchanges. 

• There usually is a 3 night minimum in the summer (though sometimes it is available for less if you call us)

• The program is not always open due to limited availability.

• You will start off with the smallest room available with free automatic upgraded based on availability.

• You will never pay more than what your room is worth; however, if you are upgraded the room prices are seriously reduced from all of our regular rates.

• We can not accommodate any special room requests.

• We do not know what room you will be in until your arrival day. When you call us to tell us your arrival time, we will tell you which Inn to check into.

• Unlike a hotel, our rooms are not all identical in appearance and amenities. Some rooms have stand up showers and some have tubs. Some have detached baths while others are ensuite baths. Some rooms are king beds and some are queen beds. Please be aware that some rooms have low slanted ceilings and are on the third floor while others are on the second floor. Some rooms have access to the hot tub while others do not.

• Other restrictions may apply based on specials, third party gift certificates or concessions made by the innkeeper.

This program is designed for the easy going, laid back traveler and is not for everyone. We recommend booking a specific room for special occasions such as anniversaries, birthdays and honeymoons. Redwood Room  "Perfect for anniversaries & honeymoons" says former guest

T he Redwood  Room is beautifully furnished with a Queen Canopy Bed, extra thick pillow-top mattress, and of course our 650 thread count luxury sheets. This spacious room with its inlay floors, crown-molding and twelve foot ceilings features a real fireplace, a full length couch, television with DVD player, CD, Player, alarm clock, antique lamps and wonderful floor to ceiling windows that allows for a lot of daylight. The Redwood Room has a very spacious private bath with an antique clawfoot soaking tub with shower and whirlpool jet spa. A selection of DVD's and CD's can be found in the downstairs library. The Redwood Room was once the master bedroom in the mansion which can be seen in the attention to detail to moldings, tile and intricate floor art. Even the hidden door to the bathroom is unique for this style house. It is the only room where returning customers have delayed their trip in order to wait for a vacancy in this very special room. The simple loveliness of the white and blue tones is almost like the beauty in a Roman Classical sculpture. The Redwood room has no bounds; it is just beautiful for all to see. Check Rates

LaFarge Room

This elegant room comes with a King Canopy Bed, a romantic fireplace and two comfortable chairs. The walls decorated with classic Victorian hanging flower basket wallpaper and wonderfully appointed Victorian furnishings. The extra thick pillow-top mattress just adds to the splendor.  It also has a Television with DVD and VCR with a selection of movies downstairs in the library. The wonderful inlay floors, twelve foot ceilings and extra tall windows makes the Lafarge timeless. The private bath has a pedestal sink along with a large custom shower with tile seat and water temperature control.  Check Rates

Belmont Room

Comfort fit for a king in our Belmont Room. This is one of our most popular rooms. This richly decorated room has a Queen Canopy Bed with a extra thick/ extra comfortable pillow-top mattress, working fireplace, television with DVD and VCR, CD Player, Private bath ensuite, shower for two that opens to the room and two, cozy, wing-back chairs for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Though perfect for a relaxing romantic escapade, the Belmont Room's unique set up also makes it perfect for a single or couple "on the go" (perhaps on a business trip or attending a wedding).

Perry Suite

Slip into the past in our Perry Suite. Spanning the east wing of the mansion, this room is our largest and also offers a unique history in the house, as it was the original bathroom, master bedroom (for a time) for George Champlin Mason and the nursery of George Mason Junior. The Perry Suite has a duality. Its history suggests an area of the mansion with a lot of activity. If only the walls could talk. to think, every guest who entered the house would have used the facilities. The head of the house slept here with all his thoughts of writings, blueprints and construction projects. The wet nurse would have visited the nursery several times a day. The domestics would have passed through this room to access their private quarters from the kitchen. However, now it is a quiet room. The romance penetrates every fiber and the silence will lull you to sleep. It gently faces the south east with soft dogwood trees and rough pine trees protecting its privacy. It would seem the morning light would be overpowering but the glistening sun beams are simply perfect. Everything about the Perry Suite is stately Victorian but still there is something humble behind it. The Perry Suite is for those who want everything. Featuring a Queen, four poster canopy bed, gas fireplace, Private bath with Victorian clawfoot soaking tub with whirlpool jet spa for ultimate relaxation and 2 person custom glass & tile shower, A/C, alarm, clock, CD Player, Cable TV with DVD, Parquet floors with oriental rugs. Adjoining sitting room with a small refrigerator. Wonderfully appointed antiques in this large suite make this our most sought after room. Check Rates

Woodbine Cottage Suite

This lovely 3rd floor suite is wonderfully decorated with yellows and blue accents to gives a soothing feel of an English Cottage Style home. The quaint bedroom features an antique corkscrew bed which can be adjusted to have a King Bed or two Twin Beds and also features a romantic electric fireplace to create just the right touch of ambiance. The sitting room has two wicker chairs, a desk and room for extra beds which can be used to accommodate additional guests. It also has private bath with shower, A/C, robes, CD Player as well as cable Television with DVD and VCR. Before "The Architect's Inn" or "George Champlin Mason House", this home of George C. Mason was originally called The Woodbine Cottage.  We only saw it fit to name a room after the the house. Though originally two servants quarters (the maid and the chef), this is more of a penthouse suite now spanning the upper west wing. The windows face west overlooking the neighboring mansion during sunset; in the morning, a gentle trickle of light filters in as almost to whisper, "Good morning." Woodbine is another name for honeysuckle which was a favorite of G.C. Mason's wife. With all of this said, appropriately so, this room attracts gardeners and the more relaxed, light-hearted Victorians. Check Rates
